We, the undersigned, petition the Council to revisit the decision to axe our drama workshops and holiday courses at The Capitol

We have received a letter today from Michael Gattrell giving a month's notice to end saturday morning drama workshops and holiday courses. He said due to an increased programme at said venue. In the last few weeks they have started saturday morning cinema showing, but nothing else. Young people love the workshops and the teacher Renee. She has given so many people the confidence to take drama further. It is appalling young people are always forgotten with Horsham District Council and for once you should hear their voice. We want Horsham District Council to overturn this decision and allow Renee to continue her excellent work with many young people from the Horsham District.

Sufficient signatures have been gathered to trigger a Council debate. The request in the petition will therefore be considered at the next meeting of the Council on 25th April 2012. The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber on the 3rd floor of Park North, commencing at 6.00pm.
